Vijay’s Ramzan Iftar Event Under Fire: Tamil Nadu Muslim Group Lodges Police Complaint
Vijay’s Ramzan Iftar Thalapathy Vijay, one of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars and the founder of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), recently hosted an Iftar event in Chennai during the holy month of Ramzan. What was meant to be a gesture of unity and inclusiveness has now become the center of a heated controversy. The Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamath, a prominent Muslim organization, filed a police complaint against Vijay, alleging that the event was disrespectful to Islamic traditions. According to the complaint, individuals who had "nothing to do with fasting or Iftar," including alleged drunkards and rowdies, were allowed to participate, which they say " insulted Muslims ."
